India activates its proxies for terrorism in Pakistan: DG ISPR

Islamabad: Director General of ISPR, Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, has revealed that credible intelligence confirms India has activated its proxies to carry out terrorist activities inside Pakistan. He emphasized that the Pakistan Armed Forces and intelligence agencies are fully alert and monitoring the situation closely.

Speaking at a joint press conference alongside Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and the Foreign Office spokesperson, DG ISPR said the Pahalgam incident was hastily linked to Muslims by Indian authorities, and the Indian media immediately blamed Pakistan.

He pointed out inconsistencies in India’s narrative, questioning how an FIR could be registered within 10 minutes when it takes at least 30 minutes to reach the nearest police station. He added that the same social media accounts used to spread misinformation after the Pahalgam incident were also active during the Jaffer Express attack.

DG ISPR criticized India for using terrorism-related incidents for political motives, stating that a fake narrative was built around a zipline operator’s video, but the people of occupied Kashmir have rejected Indian propaganda.

He strongly condemned the Modi government’s involvement in terrorism in Pakistan, saying, “India, being a state sponsor of terrorism, cannot lecture others.” He accused New Delhi of trying to undermine Pakistan’s counterterrorism achievements.

Lt Gen Chaudhry also revealed that innocent Kashmiris were killed in staged encounters after the Pahalgam incident, and Pakistani prisoners in Indian jails are being tortured and falsely labeled as terrorists. Forced confessions are being extracted under duress.
